(HealthDay News) — If you’re ready to lose weight, a conversation with your doctor is a great place to start. But before you meet, make sure you’re fully prepared.
The Weight-control Information Network recommends:
- Creating a list of questions in advance, and bringing pen and paper to your appointment.
- Bringing a loved one to help you through the appointment.
- Asking your doctor about your target weight, safe exercise, a healthy eating plan and whether you should consider a weight-loss program.
- Discussing medical problems or medication that affect your weight.
