(HealthDay News) — Makeup should be used properly and safely to prevent injury to the eye, says the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
The academy encourages those who wear eye makeup to:
- Throw away eye makeup after three months.
- If you develop an eye infection, toss all of your eye makeup.
- Do not separate clumped lashes with anything sharp.
- Never share eye makeup.
- Remove all eye makeup before going to bed.
