
(HealthDay News) — As your baby gets older and develops, so should motor skills of the fingers and hands.
The American Academy of Family Physicians recommends:
- Offer baby soft objects to play with and throw, such as brightly colored textured balls in different sizes.
 - Sit on the floor with baby and roll a ball back and forth. It may take the infant a while to get the hang of it, but keep trying.
 - Offer baby toys with parts that move, such as spinning wheels, levers and hinges.
 - Blocks make a great toy to explore and build with.
