
(HealthDay News) — Children, like adults, may occasionally complain of a sore back.
The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons explains these possible causes:
- A strained muscle or joint.
 - A condition called rounded back caused by wedged vertebrae.
 - A stress fracture affecting the spine.
 - A slipped vertebrae.
 - An infection in the space between the vertebrae.
 - Rarely, a tumor of the spine.
