(HealthDay News) — Poor air quality is a serious issue for people with breathing problems, such as asthma.
When air quality is poor, the National Weather Service suggests:
- If you’re exercising outdoors, make your routine less strenuous than usual
- Take more frequent breaks. And shorten the length of your workout.
- Move planned outdoor activities to another day or indoors. If that’s not possible, schedule activities in the morning, when air quality generally is better.
