(HealthDay News) — Heat stroke occurs when the body’s heat-regulating system fails to work properly due to high temperatures.
The Mayo Clinic says potential heat stroke symptoms include:
- Having a body temperature of 104 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.
- Seeming confused, irritable or delirious.
- Having dry, hot skin that becomes red and flushed.
- Feeling nauseous or vomiting, and breathing very rapidly.
- Having a throbbing headache and a rapid heart rate.
- Having seizures.
- Becoming comatose.
